Jersey Giant Crowns
A popular choice for both the home gardener and the commercial grower. The Giant is tolerant to the colder climates. Its spears emerge approximately 7 to 10 days earlier than the Jersey Knight. A high yielder with great taste.  Our crowns usually qualify as a 2 year old crown. This product is shipped weekly beginning in early March and ending in very early May.  Check your confirmation which will have your ship week listed.

    I have tried several varities and found the Jersey giant to be the best in this area (KY). I have a two acre patch that has been in production since 1984 that I started from seed. This will be the last year for this but will be replaced with the Jersey Giant. The other varieties I tried(an addtional 4 acres)had too many female crowns and has cut my production.

    how does it grow in the south. i live in Houston texas and just placed and order. I have eaten this type and it is great.
